Selected as a fifth round (154th pick overall) draft choice by the Atlanta Falcons in 2008.

CAREER
In his first two seasons in Atlanta, has totaled 60 tackles (51 solo), seven sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Ranked third on the Falcons in sacks with 5.0 in 2009. Recorded his first career touchdown on a fumble recovery against New Orleans on November 2, 2010.

2009 (FALCONS)
Posted a career-high two sacks against Miami (9/13) in addition to adding one tackle for loss, one forced fumble and one tackle. Started his first career NFL game at defensive tackle at San Francisco (10/11) and totaled three tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery on special teams. Recorded two tackles, one tackle for loss and one fumble recovery at New Orleans (11/2). He returned his first career fumble recovery four yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. Notched a career-high seven tackles at the New York Jets (12/20). Collared two tackles, including one tackle for loss versus Buffalo (12/27). He also kicked off three times due to an injury to kicker Matt Bryant and punter Michael Koenen.

2008 (FALCONS)
Competed in all 16 games in his rookie season and finished the year with 14 tackles (11 solo) and two sacks for a loss of 13 yards. Posted two tackles and his first career sack (three yards) at San Diego (11/30). Notched two solo tackles and contributed with his second sack of the season against St. Louis (12/28). Saw action against Arizona (1/3/09) in a NFC Wild Card contest and posted two tackles and one pass defensed.

COLLEGE
Played in 52 career games while collaring 220 tackles, 32 sacks (second-most in school history), 45 tackles for loss, nine forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries at Montana. Was named the 2007 Big Sky Conference Defensive MVP and collected 70 tackles 15 sacks, 18 tackles for loss and five forced fumbles during his senior campaign. Became Montana's first-ever recipient of the Buck Buchanan Award in 2007, given annually by the Sports Network to the top defensive player in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision. Competed at the outside linebacker position in the 2008 Hula Bowl.

PERSONAL
Earned eight letters at Hardin High School (Montana), three in football and wrestling and two in track. Was a first team all-state pick and team captain as a junior and senior at linebacker. Was a first-team all-conference selection at running back in 2002 and 2003. Participated in Montana's Annual East-West Shrine Game. A Sociology major. Born September 12, 1985.
