Michelle Obama chose Tfank cobalt gown at her husband's address to nation

While President Obama gave last night his State of the Union Address, the First Lady Michelle Obama once again made a great appearance wearing a bright cobalt dress by L.A. designer Barbara Tfank.

And the dress is something that she loves, like every item in her closet, as she once said: "I can make choices based on what makes sense, knowing that I'm going to love whatever it is".

The silk-twill, hemmed to a tea lenght was completed with an Alexis Bittar pin and black slinback pumps. The dress, included in Tfank's Spring collection 2012 and described by the designer as "criss cross bodice cap-sleeved slim dress in silk twill", is available at Barney's New York for $2,400.

In last night's State of the Union Address, President Obama directly addressed the nation and put forth his plan for bolstering the middle class by reforming the tax code for the most affluent Americans; increasing educational opportunities; and maximizing the economic contributions with comprehensive immigration reform for millions of undocumented immigrants.
