The Cure, Kasabian, Foo Fighters announced as headliners for 2012 Reading and Leeds Festivals
Dave Grohl and his band Foo Fighters have landed on the line-up for this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals, and will mark the only UK festival for the rock band in 2012, who previously performed at the festivals in 2002 and 2005. Meanwhile, the headliners continue with British indie band The Cure and Kasabian for the August Bank Holiday weekend, which takes place from Friday 24th August to Sunday 26th August.
About Kasabian, organisers said: "In their own words, Kasabian were built to headline festivals. Since the release of their debut self-titled album in 2004, the Leicester group have swept all before them."
The event will also include performances from the Kasier Chiefs who are returning to play at Leeds after a two year absence following the launch of their fifth album The Future is Medieval. The band from Yorkshire will appear on the main stage on Friday.
Also on the bill are Florence and the Machine, The Shins, The Vaccines, Paramore and The Maccabees.
