UK Ben and Jerry's named their flavour Apple-y Ever After in support of gay marriage

One of the UK's ice cream giants Ben & Jerry's has recently revealed a new ice cream flavour in support of their new campaign for gay marriage called Apple-y Ever After, which is described as Apple Pie Ice Cream with Pieces of Apple & Crunks of Rich Pie Crust. The tubs also feature a picture of a gay couple atop a wedding cake decorated with rainbows. Meanwhile, to raise awareness of the issue the Gay rights charity Stonewall along with deputy CEO at Ben & Jerry's have unveiled a groom and groom wedding cake opposite the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, London.

A Ben & Jerry's European social mission manager said: "This is a proud day for Ben & Jerry's when we can show our support for a cause that's at the core of our values."

Laura Doughty, Stonewall's deputy CEO, said: "We're truly moved by Ben & Jerry's support for same-sex marriage in Britain. All people want is to call their long-term relationship by the same name as everyone else. Our strong advice to those who disapprove of same-sex marriage is just not to get married to someone of the same sex."

The ice cream maker is also teaming up with Stonewall to launch a new Facebook app today that asks users to marry each other online.
