Warner Bros. is reportedly planning to remake the 1960s' Little Shop of Horrors. "Glee" co-producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is said to be in early negotiations to write its new version WB and, according to Heat Vision, the producer behind Broadway's "Wicked" Marc Platt will join for the remake.

"The Dark Knight Rises" star Joseph Gordon-Levitt is circling the lead role of nerdy florist Seymour Krelborn, previously played by Rick Moranis and Jonathan Haze. Protag is a nerdy florist who must feed a people-eating plant named Seymour that offers him fame and fortune.

The Little Shop of Horrors musical takes place in New York City during the 1960s, following the misadventures of mild-mannered flower shop assistant Seymour Krelborn – after he discovers a strange plant (of mysterious origins) that grows into a giant, talking, monstrosity that feeds on human blood.

Ghostbusters franchise alum Rick Moranis played Seymour in the 1986 film adaptation. Meanwhile, Roger Corman directed the original 1960 pic, while WB released Frank Oz's 1986 remake, which starred Moranis, Steve Martin and Ellen Greene.

In addition to serving as a co-producer on Fox's hit series "Glee," Aguirre-Sacasa co-wrote the first season of Marvel's new "Fantastic Four" comicbook with David Marquez.
