Boone's Career

Signed two weeks into the 2009 regular season, Boone provided veteran experience on the defensive line and leadership inside the locker room. Despite being thrown right into the fire, Boone had a solid first season in San Diego and re-upped for a second season on March 8. He finished his first year in San Diego with a career-high three sacks.

The 10th year veteran has played in 126 career regular-season games and seven postseason contests, including Super Bowl XLI with Chicago. Boone is familiar with the Chargers’ defensive scheme having played for both Defensive Coordinator Ron Rivera and Defensive Line Coach Don Johnson in Chicago.
