Ashton Youboty is an American football cornerback for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League.

PRO:
Drafted by the Bills with the 6th pick in the third round of the 2006 Draft (70th overall)…was the second player selected from the Ohio State University by the Bills in day one, joining Donte Whitner, the team’s 8th overall choice in the first round.

2009:
* vs. TB (9/20) Registered his first three defensive tackles of the season. Tied for the team-lead with three passes defensed.
* at NYJ (10/18) Played a key role in special teams coverage units as the Bills held the Jets punt return unit to a .3 average and the kick return unit to a 19.0 average. Also saw action defensively in the second half.
* at CAR (10/25) Helped special teams coverage unit hold Carolina to 11.3 (four returns for 43 yards) average on kick returns and 2.0 average (six returns for 12 yards) on punt returns. Recorded first special teams tackle of the season. Saw action defensively.
* at ATL (12/27) Activated for the first time in six weeks, made his first start of the season as the team started with five defensive backs. He posted a season-high four solo tackles and one pass defensed.

2008:
* Tied career high with 21 tackles despite playing only five games
* Finished with a team-high eight solo stops and tied with eight total tackles in season-opener vs. Sea. (9/7)

Started 22 of 36 games at Ohio State including his last 21 contests … enrolled at Ohio State in 2003 during the 2003 Winter Quarter…participated in spring drills… tested everyday in practice by former OSU receivers Santonio Holmes, Anthony Gonzalez and Ted Ginn … as a junior in 2005 was an All-Big Ten Conference first-team selection…ranked fourth on the team with 56 tackles (43 solos) playing strong-side cornerback…had a 1-yard sack, six stops for losses of 13 yards and a forced fumble…intercepted one pass and credited with nine deflected passes, also blocked a kick…helped the team rank nationally in total defense (281.33 ypg) and scoring defense (15.25 ppg). … as a sophomore in 2004, played in all 12 games and had nine starts…finished the season with 61 tackles (47 solos), the fifth highest total on the team …tied for the Big Ten lead in interceptions with four…led the team in passes broken up with 14 … Graduated with a degree in family finance management.

PERSONAL:
Recorded 60 tackles with three interceptions as a senior at Klein (Tex.) High School…averaged over 10 yards per punt return as a junior… Led his team to a win over Cy Falls High when he blocked a field goal to send the game into overtime and then an extra point attempt in OT to win the game…Also competed in track, recording a personal-best long jump of 22- feet…Finished second in the 100 and 200-meter dashes at the district track meet as a junior….born in Liberia and moved to Philadelphia when he was age four…he then moved to Texas in the eighth grade. Brother Yousif plays football at Minnesota State … youngest brother John is a defensive end at Marshall University. Sister, Masanghai is a graduate of Chico State.

COMMUNITY:
Ashton supported the Buffalo Community in 2009 by participating in Hospitalized Veterans Day. He participated in a press conference showing his support for the hospitalized veterans and then spent time talking with the veterans throughout the facility and thanking them for their service to our country.
