* Originally signed as a rookie free agent by the Giants on May 8, 2009.

GIANTS NOTES

* Overcame long odds as a rookie free agent to make the final roster…Played in every game and became one of the secondary's most consistent contributors.

CAREER-HIGHLIGHTS

* As a rookie in 2009, played in all 16 games with 4 starts…Contributed 35 tackles (27 solo), 2 interceptions, a sack, 10 passes defensed and 2 forced fumbles…Also had 10 special teams tackles (7 solo)…In his 2nd pro game (at Dallas, 9/20), Johnson scored the Giants' 1st touchdown when he intercepted a Tony Romo pass intended for Roy Williams and returned it 34 yards for a touchdown with 2:46 remaining in the first quarter. The score gave the Giants a 10-7 lead…It was the Giants' first touchdown on an interception return since Nov. 16, 2008, when Aaron Ross brought one back 50 yards for a score in a victory over Baltimore…Johnson's touchdown was reminiscent of a score under similar circumstances 4 years prior. On Oct. 23, 2006, Kevin Dockery – like Johnson, a rookie free agent cornerback – picked off a Romo pass and ran it back for a touchdown.
* Made his 1st career start vs. Philadelphia (12/13)…Finished with 2 tackles and his 1st career sack, a 12-yarder on which he forced Donovan McNabb to fumble. The ball was recovered by Fred Robbins…Intercepted his 2nd pass of the season at Washington (12/21) when he picked off punter Hunter Smith at the end of the 1st half.

COLLEGE

* Finished career at Miami with 74 tackles (57 solo), 2 interceptions and 14 pass breakups…As a senior, played in 12 games with 11 starts at right cornerback, missing a start at N.C. State...Second-leading tackler among defensive backs with 29 (24 solo).
