Christopher Keith Irvine better known by his ring name Chris Jericho, is a Canadian-American television and stage actor, author, radio host, television host, rock musician and inactive professional wrestler.

He is best known for his time in the World Wrestling Federation/World Wrestling Entertainment (WWF/WWE), as well as in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), and internationally in Canadian, Mexican, and Japanese promotions. He is also the host of the ABC game show Downfall.

Chris Jericho, no matter where he has gone, has managed to bring himself to top level in any organization he has ever been in. Whether it was in Smokey Mountain, ECW, Mexico,Japan or WCW, the Lionheart seems to have the skills necessary to be a champion. In ECW he went from being almost booed out of the arena in his first match to going on to fight TAZ, and Sabu during his short stint there. He held the ECW TV belt, and quickly became one of the fed's rising young stars. In WCW, he started out a face, and despite jobbing in the beginning, he went to hold the WCW Cruiserweight title two times. He had problems getting over with the fans, and showed how uncomfortable he was as a "face" during several interviews, one when he was almost stuttering when confronted by Syxx, aka Sean Waltman after beating him in L.A. for his firstCruiserweight reign. Dissappointed in the lack of respect the fans gave him, and upper management, Jericho "lost it" during a loss against Curt Hennig of the NWO. He tore apart the ringside area and beat up Davide Penzer, the WCW ring announcer. He did the same thing after losing to DDP and Ric Flair, and then went on a tirade as a comical heel. He quickly began gathering crowd heat and despite only being heel a short length of time, he has already had some of the most comical moments in wrestling, searching for loopholes in Washington DC, or parading around witha conspiracy victim sign. Jericho is quickly on his way to becoming a mega star in wrestling. he won the TV title from Stevie Ray and held the belt for a while until losing it to Konnan. Jericho started a feud with Goldberg, but the feud was dropped after Nash and others tried telling Goldberg that Jericho wasn't "big" enough to be a main eventer. This angered Jericho, and he still hasn't resigned with WCW since this incident occured. Jericho feuded with Saturn, who began a cross-dressing gimmick. He then got into the US title tournament, lost the first match of it, then managed to weasel his way back in by kissing up to President Ric Flair and lose to Booker T in the Quarter Finals due to interference that caused a DQ from Scott Steiner. This would be Jericho's last run in WCW, as he jumped to the WWF with a huge entrance in August of 1999. He came out and immediately took on the Rock in a battle of words, then went after Paul Wight and the Undertaker. After a brief feud that saw him injuring the Road Dogg, he took Mr Hughes as a new bodyguard, and took on Ken Shamrock, before the World's Most Dangerous Man left to rehab an injury. Jericho, despite good fan support, seemed to be misused in the WWF up to this point. After feuding with Chyna, Jericho finally seemed to be getting a push, and looked to be getting the title immediately, but he was forced to job and the feud was prolonged. Jericho got even more heat backstage during this time, even getting into a verbal confontation with Vince McMahon. Jericho and Chyna were eventually made IC "co-champion" by Stephanie McMahon.

A triple threat match was setup between Jericho, Chyna and Hardcore Holly and the winner becomes the IC champion. That night, Chris Jericho defeated Chyna and Hardcore Holly to win the title. A month later, Jericho loses the title to Kurt Angle. Two months later, a Triple threat match was set between Jericho, Benoit and Angle. Kurt was the Euro-continental champion and that night, Jericho won the European title and Benoit won the Intercontinental title. The following night, Jericho lost the European belt to Eddie Guerrero. One months later, Jericho defeated Chris Benoit for the IC title and that makes Jericho a 4-time WWF Intercontinental champion. But that didn't last long, because six days later, he lost it back to Chris Benoit. Chris Jericho then had a feud with HHH. On April 10, 2000, Jericho defeated HHH for the WWF title, but the decision was reversed after HHH threatened referee Earl Hebner.

On May 21, 2001, Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit defeated Austin and HHH to become the tag team champions. And the following week on Raw, In Calgary, Alberta Canada, Chris Jericho beat the Big Show to become the Hardcore champion, but it was a short lived title reign, while Jericho was walking back, Rhyno comes out of nowhere and spears Jericho to win the title.
