Logged another start at right guard at Stl. (12/2) before starting at left guard vs. N.O. (12/10) and at T.B. (12/16)... Began the year in Carolina’s training camp and was claimed off waivers by the Falcons on Sept. 2.

2006: Batiste entered the NFL with Dallas as a college free agent on June 16 and began the year on the Cowboys’ practice squad... Signed by Carolina to its active roster on Oct. 14 and was inactive for the remainder of the year.

COLLEGE: Batiste was a four-year letterman at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette who earned second-team All-Sun Belt Conference honors as a senior... Started his collegiate career as a tight end before moving to guard during his freshman campaign.
