Eddy Jose Herrera de los Rios, also known as Eddy Herrera, is a bachata singer and winner of more than seven Casandra Awards. Born on 30 April 1964 in the Dominican Republic, in the city of Santiago de Los Caballeros.

Dominican tropical singer Eddy Herrera formed his own orchestra in the early '90s after singing along with bandleader, composer, and producer Wilfrido Vargas, soon becoming one of the most popular local numbers. Casandra award-winner for Best Male Performer, Eddy Herrera celebrated his band's tenth anniversary with a live performance called El Concierto on September 10, 2000, followed by a successful show at New York's Madison Square Garden on October 28, that same year.
