Greg Olsen is an American football tight end for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League.

NFL Career:

Bears leader in receptions (153) and receiving TDs (15) since joining the team in 2007... Ranks second in receiving yards (1,577) for Chicago over last three seasons... His 153 receptions are the most by a Bears tight end in three consecutive seasons since Mike Ditka caught 170 passes from 1963-65 and the most by a Chicago tight end in his first three NFL seasons since Ditka hauled in 173 from 1961-63... Started 26-of-46 career games played... Has 21 receptions of 20 yards or more, while leading or tying for the team lead in receptions over the course of eight games in his career... His 60 catches in 2009, rank second on the single-season all-time list for Bears TEs (Ditka, 75 in 1964)... Part of a Bears TE duo (Clark, 41) that hauled in 95 receptions in 2008, the most catches in a single-season for Bears tight ends in franchise history... In 2007, became just the second Bears rookie TE to surpass 300 receiving yards, trailing only Hall of Famer Mike Ditka (1,076 yards in 1961).

2009 SEASON: Started a career-high 15 of 16 games played, leading the team in catches (60) and TD receptions (8), which were both career highs as well... Finished third on the team with 612 receiving yards... Posted a career-high 9 catches of 20-yards or more... Led the team in receptions three times and receiving yards twice... Collected a career-high 3 TD receptions vs. ARZ (11/8), the most TD catches by a Bears TE since 1975.

2008 - Posted 54 catches for 574 receiving yards and 5 TDs, leading the Bears in receiving TDs and finishing second in receptions... Caught a career-high 8 passes vs. NO (12/11), totaled a career-high with 87 receiving yards at DET (10/5) and posted a career-long 52-yard reception at DET (10/5)... Started 7 of the 16 games he appeared in.

2007 - Totaled 39 receptions for 391 yards and two touchdowns during his rookie season, finishing fifth among all rookies in receptions and ninth in receiving yards ... Combined with Desmond Clark (545) for 936 receiving yards in 2007, the most by a Bears TE duo in franchise history when each player has over 100 yards receiving... Hauled in 2 passes for 28 yards in his first taste of NFL action vs. DAL (9/23)... Started 4 contests when the Bears came out in dual tight end sets, while playing in Games 3-16; Inactive Games 1-2 with a knee injury.

College:

Three-year letterwinner at the University of Miami (2004-2006) starting 26 of 33 games played totaling 87 receptions for 1,215 yards (14.0 ypc) with 6 TDs... Started 12 games in each of his final 2 seasons at Miami earning first-team and honorable mention all-ACC honors as a junior and sophomore respectively... Led team in receptions as a senior (40) and was 2nd on roster in catches as a junior (31)... Also saw time as team's long snapper.

Personal:

Attended Wayne High School (N.J.) where he was named USA Today first-team All-American as a senior in 2002 and was one of three finalists for Gatorade National Player of the Year... Also named first-team All-America selection by Parade magazine, SuperPrep and PrepStar... Rated third overall on ESPN's list of 100 players nationally... Helped team to a 12-0 mark in 2002 and New Jersey Group 3 state title... Older brother, Christian, was a quarterback at the University of Virginia and attended Chicago's rookie mini-camp in 2007 with Greg.
