Selected by Houston Texans in sixth round (183rd overall) of 2007 NFL Draft…Signed by Texans on July 23, 2007.

Aggressive offensive lineman with a low center of gravity that is ideal at his guard position…uses leverage to his advantage…appeared in three games as a rookie…saw his first action on the offensive line at Tennessee (12/2) when he filled in for G Fred Weary.

2009 (Houston 16/14): Saw action on offense and on special teams vs. the New York Jets (9/13) and at Tennessee (9/20)...made his first career start vs. Jacksonville (9/27) at guard in place of the injured Chester Pitts...started at left guard vs. Oakland (10/4), at Arizona (10/11), at Cincinnati (10/18), vs. San Francisco (10/25), at Buffalo (11/1) and at Indianapolis (11/8)...protected quarterback Matt Schaub vs. Tennessee (11/23) when he had his second consecutive 300-yard passing game...started at LG vs. Indianapolis (11/29)...helped the offense gain over 300 yards for the 11th consecutive game at Jacksonville (12/6)...part of the offensive line that blocked for QB Matt Schaub as he threw for 365 yards and two touchdowns vs. Seattle (12/13) without allowing him to be sacked...blocked for quarterback Matt Schaub at St. Louis (12/20) where he threw for 367 yards and was not sacked for the second consecutive game and fourth time this season...started at left guard at Miami (12/27).
