Luis Marín Barahona (born May 18, 1983 in Santiago, Chile) is a Chilean football goalkeeper who plays for Chilean club Unión Española.

This talented shot-stopper has been one of the in-form keepers in the Chilean First Division for the past 12 months.

Marin was bought by Union in 2008 to serve as the understudy to Cristian Limenza, but he seized his chance when the latter fell victim to injury and quickly established himself as the No.1 after saving two penalties in a match against Everton of Vina del Mar.

Apart from his outstanding reflexes, his chief asset is his ability to come out on top in one-on-ones, though a weak point is the nervous way he deals with back-passes. However, in contrast to his early days at Audax Italiano and Lota Schwager, he is much more consistent.

He only won his first international cap on the eve of these finals, making his bow in a friendly with Mexico at the Azteca Stadium. His favourite keeper of the moment is Julio Cesar of Inter Milan and Brazil.

On 12 May 2010, Marín was named in Chile's provisional 30 man squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, before of this event, Marín was called to the matchs of Chile against Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago and Mexico, in this matches, he recibed one goal, agains Mexico in aresult of 1-0 with a goal of Alberto Medina.
