Marcus Morris is an American basketball player which is playing as a Forward for the Kansas Jayhawks.

On numerous preseason All-American teams... KU's top returning scorer and rebounder from 2009-10... A two-year returning starter who has been described as a do-everything type player who can post and handle the ball... Is coming off a solid sophomore season where he earned numerous postseason accolades... One of 20 college players chosen by USA Basketball to train against the USA Men's National Team in summer 2010... Also spent the 2010 summer attending many big men camps - Amar'e Stoudemire Skills, adidas... Played mainly down low as a freshman and developed better range, including from beyond the arc... A highly talented player who will be a tough match-up with his versatility.

(2009-10):
Exploded onto the scene where he was KU's third-leading scorer with 12.8 ppg and second-leading rebounder at 6.1 rpg... Named the Yahoo Sports! Most Improved player nationally and All-Big 12 Second Team... Averaged 14.2 points per game in Big 12 play, 16th in the league... Also in league play, led the Big 12 with his 56.1 percent shooting from the field, while his 7.3 rebounds tied for ninth... For the season, his 6.1 rpg ranked 14th in the Big 12... Had five 20-point efforts... Had 14 games of eight-plus rebounds... Shot 57 percent from the field and had nine games of 70 percent or better from the field... Recorded six double-doubles with four in Big 12 play... Made 12 three-pointers on the season, including three games with multiple threes... Had a solid Big 12 Championship where he averaged 10.7 ppg and 4.3 rpg... Scored 26 points on 12-of-15 shooting with 10 rebounds against Lehigh (3/18) in the NCAA Tournament first round...Scored 18 points and eight rebounds against No. 9 Kansas State (3/13) in the Big 12 title game... Had 20 points and 11 rebounds versus Nebraska (2/6)... Recorded back-to-back 20-point games with 20 versus Texas Tech (1/16) and 22 against Baylor (1/20)... Led the Big 12 freshmen class in rebounding with a 4.7 average... Pulled down five or more rebounds 18 times... Made 50 percent or better from the field in 23 games... Showed his range hitting 40 percent from three-point range... Scored a career-high 15 points at Kansas State (2/14)... Hit two three-pointers against Texas A&M (1/19) en route to scoring 10 points... Was 4-for-5 with 10 points, including his second three-point field goal of the season at Colorado (1/17)... Connected on his first career three-pointer against Albany (12/30)... Had nine points on 4-of-8 shooting with three steals against Temple (12/20)... Posted second double-double against Kent State (12/1), scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds... Recorded first career double-double versus Syracuse (11/25), scoring 11 points and pulling down a career-high 11 rebounds... Also dished out a career-best six assists against the Orange.

Averaged 24.8 points and eight rebounds in 2007-08 for APEX Academy in Pennsauken, N.J... Scored 20 points for the suburban team in the Jordan Brand Regional Game at Madison Square Garden in 2008.

Led the Prep Charter High School Eagles to back-to-back state titles in 2007 and 2006... Coached by Dan Brinkley... Prep Charter finished 27-4 in 2007 and 28-5 in 2006...
