Matthew Gregory Kuchar is an American professional golfer who has played on both the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. He has ranked as high as number six in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Matt turned pro in 2000 and captured his first PGA TOUR victory at The Honda Classic in 2002. His play in 2005 left him with limited status on the TOUR so he split his time in 2006 on the PGA TOUR and Nationwide Tour. It was in 2006 that Matt began working with a young, up-and-coming instructor, Chris O'Connell. His good play on the Nationwide Tour earned him fully exempt status on the 2007 PGA TOUR. In 2009 he won his second PGA TOUR tournament at the Turning Stone Resort Championship.

2010 was a banner year for Matt. He captured his third PGA TOUR victory at The Barclays, ended the season as the leading money winner on the PGA TOUR, won the Vardon Trophy for low adjusted scoring average (69.91), and had the most top-10 finishes on the PGA TOUR with 11. He was a member of the U.S. Ryder Cup team and finished the year 2nd in the FedExCup standings.

More than his professional success Matt revels in his life as a family man. He met his wife, Sybi, in college and they were married in 2003. They teamed up in October 2009 to win the consolation title in the USTA National Husband/Wife Doubles Championship at the ATP Headquarters. They have two young boys and when not on the golf course, spend most of their time together as a family.
