Matthew McKay, born 11 January 1983 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia is an Australian football player who plays as an attacking midfielder, a central midfielder or left midfielder. He currently plays for Brisbane Roar after a short loan period at Incheon United from the Roar. McKay was formally on loan at 2007 Chinese Super League champions, Changchun Yatai until July 2009.

Matt attended Brisbane Grammar School. In 2000, Matt won the treble for high schools in Queensland - the GPS Competition, Uhlsport Cup (penalty shootout win over Brisbane Boys College in the final) and the Southern Skies Tournament (win over Knox College, Sydney). He has played the most number of games for the Roar on 79, scoring the second most goals of all-time for the Roar with 12, just three behind Reinaldo.

He represented Australia in the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship.

On 16 August 2006, McKay came on for Australia in the 90th minute of the Asian Cup Qualifier against Kuwait for his first Socceroo cap.
