Mickey Charles Shuler, Jr. is an American football tight end for the Miami Dolphins. He is the son of former New York Jets All-Pro tight end, Mickey Shuler.

Shuler was drafted in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft with the 214th pick by the Minnesota Vikings ... On September 22, 2010 he was waived by the Vikings ... The Dolphins claimed Shuler off waivers on September 23, 2010.

2010 - Played in a reserve role twice, did not play once, and was inactive twice this season with the Dolphins ... Made his Dolphin and NFL debut in a reserve role on Oct. 4th vs. New England ... Was inactive for the first two games of the season while a member of the Minnesota Vikings.


Mickey Jr. is a second generation Nittany Lion, his father played tight end from 1975-1977 before heading to the NFL where he played 13 seasons with the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles ... Started 13-of-41 games at Penn State ... During his career the Nittany Lions were 14-3 in games where Shuler recorded a reception ... Set a career-high with 2 TDs during his senior season to go along with 11 receptions and 89 receiving yards ... Played in 13 games for the 3rd straight season including a Capital One Bowl victory over LSU ... Shuler’s blocking and receiving helped lead Penn State to the NCAAs 14th ranked offense in 2008 ... As a junior he started in a career-high 6 of the 13 games in which he saw playing time, including the Rose Bowl versus USC ... To start the 2007 season Shuler hauled in a 17-yard TD pass against FIU, which was his 1st career catch ...
