Namrata Shirodkar is an Indian actress and former model who is married to Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu. Namrata Shrodkar has starred in critically acclaimed films like ‘Vaastav' and the English film ‘Bride and Prejudice'. Namrata Shirodkar was born on 22 January 1972 in Mumbai. She is the granddaughter of Meenakshi Shirodkar, famous Marathi actress who starred in Brahmachari. Namrata's sister Shilpa Shirodkar is also a well-known actress who has appeared in successful fims like' Kishen Kanhaiya' ,' Khuda Gawah', ‘Hum', Aankhen and ‘Mrityudand'.

Namrata Shirodkar started her career as a model and later won the coveted Miss India title in the year 1993. She was among the top six contestants at the Miss Universe beauty pageant, 1993. Namrata also represented India in the Miss Asia Pacific contest where she was crowned as the 1st runner up.
Namrata Shirodkar is married to Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu and the couple is blessed with a son, named Gautam Krishna Gattamaneni. Namrata met Mahesh Babu during the shooting of her very first Telugu film ‘Vamsi' directed B. Gopal. The two started dating and tied the knot on 10th February, 2005 in a very private ceremony at Marriott Hotel in Mumbai. Namrat's husband Mahesh Babu is known for award winning performances in super successful films like ‘Rajakumarudu', ‘Nijam', ‘Athadu', ‘Arjun', ‘Okkadu' and ‘Pokiri'.

After being successful in the fashion industry, Namrata towards Bollywood and was seen in a supporting role in the romantic drama ‘Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai'. Directed by Deepak Sareen, ‘Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai' starred Salman Khan and Twinkle Khanna in lead roles along with Anupam kher and Farida Jalal. Namrata next featured in multistarrer films like ‘Mere Do Anmol Rattan', ‘Hero Hindustani' and ‘Kacche Dhaage' that performed reasonably well. She also plunged into Malayalam films with ‘Ezhupunna Tharakan'
