The Oakland Raiders acquired LB Quentin Groves on April 21, 2010, in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for an undisclosed draft choice.
In two seasons with Jacksonville, Groves played in 32 games with seven starts and totaled 2.5 sacks, one interception and two forced fumbles. Groves was a second round selection (52nd overall) by the Jaguars in the 2008 NFL Draft after a tying a program record with 26 career sacks at Auburn.
Groves was named to the Chuck Bednarik Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy, and Ted Hendricks Award watchlists for the 2007 college football season. Groves was a sack specialist at Auburn and finished tied for the Auburn career sack record at 26.
