Ritesh Deshmukh was born on December 17, year 1978. Ritesh Deshmukh is an Indian actor, hailing from Latur city in Marathwada, Maharashtra. He is son of Vilasrao Deshmukh, Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He completed his education from G. D. Somani High School and Kamala Raheja School of Architecture in Mumbai. Ritesh worked in New York City after graduation while studying acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. He made his debut in year 2003 with Tujhe Meri Kasam which was an average hit at the box office. Ritesh became a known face after the year 2004 comedy Masti which established him as an actor. He has mainly taken on comic roles, rather than serious roles. After the release of Masti, he changed his known name Ritiesh Deshmukh for numerological reasons. Ritesh has since appeared in several successful comedy films including Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, Malamaal Weekly and Apna Sapna Money Money. Recently, he was seen in the multi-starrer action film Cash which was a box office failure, Heyy Babyy, which was quite successful at the box office and Dhamaal which was moderately successful. He also appeared in the film Om Shanti Om as a special appearance. De Taali, his latest film, just released June 27th.

First of his upcoming films is Aladin, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Jacqueline Fernandez, which was released on 30 October 2009. Others are Ram Gopal Varma's Rann, again co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav and Do Knot Disturb along with Govinda, Sushmita Sen, Sohail Khan and Lara Dutta. His latest movie is Sajid Khan's Housefull along with co-stars Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Arjun Rampal and Jiah Khan.

He is currently working on 3 movies for 2011, Dostana 2, Dhamaal 2 and Koochie Koochie Hota Hain.
