Robert Earnest Ayers Jr. was born on Sept. 6, 1985, in Jersey City, N.J. Robert Ayers is an American football outside linebacker for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Broncos 18th overall in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at Tennessee.

• A second-year linebacker who totaled 18 tackles, two pass breakups and one fumble recoverycin 15 games (1 start) as a rookie for Denver in 2009.
