Vance Jack Walker is an American football defensive tackle for the Atlanta Falcons. He was regarded as a top prospect at his position in the 2009 NFL Draft and he was drafted with the 1st pick in the 7th round by the Atlanta Falcons.

2009 (FALCONS)
Competed in 10 games with one start and totaled 13 tackles (12 solo) and two passes defensed. Registered a season-high five tackles against Washington (11/8). Started his first career NFL game at Tampa Bay (1/3) and posted one tackle for loss.

2008 SEASON
A first-team All-ACC selection for the second straight year. Invited to play in the Senior Bowl. A preseason All-America selection by Sports Illustrated and the ACC Midseason Defensive MVP according to ESPN.com. inished the season with 33 tackles, 8.5 TFLs and 3.0 sacks. Enjoyed one of his best games vs. Gardner-Webb (10/11) with nine tackles, five solo tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack. Gave Tech its first safety since 2004 when he tackled Boston College quarterback Chris Crane in the endzone.

2007 SEASON
Started all 13 games at defensive tackle and finished with 45 tackles, 14.0 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. His three forced fumbles ranked tied for seventh in the ACC and tied for 55th nationally. Ranked fifth in the ACC and tied for 34th nationally in sacks (8.5). Produced six tackles, including four solo tackles, a sack for minus-12 yards and recovered a fumble at Virginia (9/22).

2006 SEASON
The top back-up at defensive tackle as a sophomore, had 17 tackles on the season. Credited with one tackle for loss and one-half sack.

2005 SEASON
Developed into a key contributor on the defensive line as a true freshman. Totaled 15 tackles, with three tackles for loss, one sack and a fumble recovery.

COLLEGE
Voted a first-team All-ACC selection by the ACC Sports Journal and was a 2008 Bednarik Award Semifinalist. Finished his Georgia Tech career with 110 tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss, 13.0 sacks, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

PERSONAL
Attended Fort Mill High School and was a third-team all-state selection according to the Columbia State. Compiled 17.5 sacks and 41 TFLs as a senior.
