The 29-year-old actress Anne Hathaway surprised everyone on Sunday with an extremely short new haircut. While leaving a Soho nightclub in London along her fiance Adam Shulman and a female friend the beautiful brunette was potted without her curly long hair. Apparently, her new hairdo – barrely a hairdo, but more like chopped hair! - is for the role in the upcoming Les Miserables movie. The movie also stars Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe, in which Hathaway will play Fantine, a single mother who sells hair and works as a prostitute to feed her child. Hathaway has also had to lose weight for the role, according to her rep. She has a 500-calorie per day diet to drastically change her body. Hope it all will be worth it, Anne is a great actress.

Hathaway will next be seen in The Dark Knight Rises, which hits theaters this July.
