Andrew Scott was the winner for best supporting actor award for his role as Jim Moriarty on "Sherlock", while Jennifer Saunders and Darren Boyd nailed the kudo for female and male performance in a comedy program.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) took place last night, Sunday May 27. The winners list in television was lead by the ITV1 drama "Appropriate Adult" which scooped three kudos, including the ones for leading actor Dominic West and leading actress Emily Watson for their role of Fred West and Janet Leach.

The 58th annual Arquiva British Academy Television Awards ceremony, held at the Royal Festival Hall in London crowned the "Appropriate Adult" with most kudos of the night, but also revealed Andrew Scott as winner for best supporting actor award for his role as Jim Moriarty on "Sherlock", while Jennifer Saunders and Darren Boyd nailed the kudo for female and male performance in a comedy program.

Hosted by comedian Dara O'Briain, the prestigious awards also saw "Coronation Street" stealing Soap and Continuing Drama Award title from last year's winner "EastEnders".
