The family of missing 20th Century Fox distribution executive Gavin Smith announced on Tuesday that they are offering a $20,000 reward for information regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Smith. "It is still an open and ongoing case," Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore confirmed for the Hollywood Reporter. "It has not taken any particular direction."

Last seen at a friend's home on the night of May 1 in Oak Park, California, Gavin reportedly left the residence in his black Mercedes-Benz E420 sedan between the hours of 9 and 10 p.m. . The Wrap reports that law enforcement has stated that Smith's Mercedes sedan bears the license plate number 6EKT044. He stands at 6 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 210 pounds, has grey hair with blond highlights, green eyes and a goatee. Whitmore said detectives have received "dozens and dozens" of leads. The department also has conducted searches of undisclosed areas on horseback, on foot and with fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. "We've searched canyons and roads; we've searched towns," Whitmore said.

Smith, who is Fox's branch manager for theaters in Dallas and Oklahoma City, works out of the company's Calabasas office. He resides in West Hills with his wife, Lisa, and their three sons. Lisa made a statement Tuesday afternoon expressing how important the public’s assistance is to her husband's case.

"We truly need assistance from the public. We need additional tips, and we are hoping the public can provide them," Lisa said, according to The Wrap. "We don't know where Gavin is." Additionally, Smiths family has created a website where people can leave any information or tips that may help the investigation.
