GWAR guitarist Cory Smoot found dead in band's bus
The lead guitarist of heavy metal band GWAR, Cory Smoot was found dead on band's bus on Thursday (Nov. 3rd). According to Assosiated Press, Jack Flanagan, the band's manager confirmed that the body was found after the bus crossed into Canada for their next gig. Band's frontman Dave Brockie (Oderus Urungus) in a statement. "At this point we are just dealing with the loss of our dear friend and brother". He also called Smoot "one of the most talented guitarists in metal today."
Cory, mostly known for his stage name Flattus Maximus joined the band in 2002, and shortly became an integral part of the band as he also co-produced its albums 'Beyond Hell' and 'Lust in Space'.
