No illegal Drugs Says Amy Winehouse' toxicology report

A toxicology report on British pop singer Amy Winehouse says there were no illegal drugs in her system when she was found dead July 23 in her Camden flat.

"Authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy's system at the time of her death," Winehouse family spokesman Chris Goodman says in a statement. "Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death."

She had been to rehab several times to deal with drug and alcohol addiction, but at her funeral her father, Mitch Winehouse, said she had overcome her drug problem and curtailed her drinking. "The doctors said it was impossible, but she really did it. She was trying hard to deal with her drinking and had just completed three weeks of abstinence."

"The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process," Goodman's statement concludes. Winehouse was 27-year-old when died, a death which was named "unexplained" at that time. But looks like ain't solved yet; full results of the inquest into Winehouse's death are due in October.

Tony Bennett included Amy's latest recorded song 'Body And Soul' in his upcoming project Duets II due release September 20.
