The new musical Once leds the list of nominations for this year's Tony Awards with 11 nods, including the one for Best Musical, while shows such as the revival of Godspell led byWeeds star Hunter Parrish (and now Corbin Bleu), the Alan Rickman-topped comedy Seminar, and The Mountaintop, last fall’s high-profile drama starring Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett were completely shut out from the competition.

Nominees for the 66th annual Tony Awards, one of the major awards in the world of theater, were announced on Tuesday, May 1 and includes also The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess and Nice Work If You Can Get It, with 10 nominations each; meanwhile the play Peter and the Starcatcher has 9.

Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, the awards-giving ceremony will be held June 10th at the Beacon Theater in New York City.
