Johnny Depp and 'Harry Potter' amongst Movie winners at 2012 People's Choice Awards
The CBS' live telecast of the Wednesday night prize-giving event 2012 People's Choice Awards, hosted by TV series "The Big Bang Theory" actress Kaley Cuoco brought a big surprize with Emma Stone's winning in Movie category. She managed to grab the award for Favorite Movie Actress, beating big names such as Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Anne Hathaway.
Emma also took home the award for Favorite Comedic Movie Actress, whilst Adam Sandler won the award for Favorite Comedic Movie Actor. "The biggest thing I learned was that you have to stay true to yourself and don't be afraid, even though people might say that what you're doing isn't right....There's no other reason I'm up here today," Emma said to her fans.
Adam Sandler won out over an impressive list of fellow nominees including Ashton Kutcher, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds, and Steve Carell. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," the final installment of the magical film series starring Daniel Radcliffe was the big winner in Movie category with four wins for Favorite movie, action movie, book adaptation and ensemble movie cast.
Robert Pattinson took the stage in order to accept the Favorite Drama Movie award for "Water For Elephants". He suroprised the sudience with a brand new cut hairdo. Dressed in a simple black shirt and jeans, Pattinson shared to the audience: "Thank you very much. I don't know why they asked me to accept it because it's really a lot of other people as well."
"When I was doing this movie, I was having so much fun doing it that I was saying to everyone I didn't even care if anyone saw it," he went on. "But now that people have seen it and they're giving awards for it, I'm even more thankful for the whole experience, so thank you guys very much."
